Cheakamus Crossing is Whistler’s newest neighbourhood. Designed to house the world’s best athletes during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, will be home to full-time Whistler residents after the Games. Designed with sustainability and community in mind, the  neighbourhood  provides affordable, high-quality housing for Whistler’s workforce. Whistler 2020 Development Corporation partnered with the Whistler Housing Authority to develop the neighbourhood which features, 154 employee restricted townhomes, 65 employee restricted condominiums, 55 rental units, 20 market townhomes, 180 bed hostel and 24 single family lots. In addition the development includes a high performance training facility, a 100 bed lodge and also 20 rental townhomes, owned and managed by Whistler Legacy Society.
